    The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the heart of Ontario's power system. The IESO delivers key services across the electricity sector including: managing the power system in real-time, planning for the province's future energy needs, enabling conservation and designing a more efficient electricity marketplace to support sector evolution.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

    Ontario’s electricity system is reliable with adequate supply to meet our needs. The IESO has implemented controls to ensure the continued reliable operation of the grid and minimize risks to its employees and stakeholders. Non-essential IESO staff are working from home, and increased hygiene and physical distancing measures are in place to protect remaining on-site employees. The IESO is not accepting visitors at our three facilities, in person engagement and meetings are no longer being scheduled. Where possible, meetings and events including engagement activities are being moved to conference calls or webinars. Registration information have been updated on the website to reflect this change.

    Stakeholder Meetings

    Engaging with stakeholders

    We value your input and perspectives, and have adapted our engagement activities to provide more flexibility for participants. Stakeholders are invited to attend meetings through webinars or conference calls. Deadlines for feedback has been extended to a minimum of three weeks. Recordings of engagement sessions will also be available online.
